First Steps in Music
Introduce your little one to the wonderful world of music through singing, movement, rhythm, and
play! First Steps in Music is a joyful, developmentally appropriate class designed for babies,
toddlers, preschoolers, and their caregivers. Through engaging musical activities, children will explore
beat, melody, movement, and listening skills while building confidence, coordination, language
development, and social connections.
Each class includes singing games, finger plays, nursery rhymes, movement activities, instrument
exploration, and opportunities for creative expression. Caregivers participate alongside their child
throughout each class, modeling engagement and sharing in the musical experience. These shared
activities help strengthen family bonds while providing musical experiences that can easily be
continued at home.
No musical experience is required. This nurturing and playful environment helps young children
develop a lifelong love of music while supporting their cognitive, physical, emotional, and social
growth.
Recommended Age: Birth to 5 years (caregiver participation required)

Dates: Beginning September 12th
Ages 0-2: Saturdays: 10:00 – 10:45am
Ages 3-5: Saturdays: 10:45 – 11:30am
Cost: $192/session, $20/drop-in
Simsbury CT
Dates: Beginning September 11th
Ages 0-2: Saturdays: 9:00-9:45am
Ages 0-2: Fridays: 10:00-10:45am
Ages 3-5: Saturdays: 9:45-10:30am
Ages 0-2: Fridays: 10:45-11:30am
