Timothy Sterbenz began his musical journey growing up outside of Detroit. As a youth, he was an active participant in their Youth Orchestra as well as multiple local chamber music programs. He developed a love for collaborating with others through chamber ensembles. After completing high school, Tim moved to Hartford to study with Mihai Tetel at the Hartt School of Music. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Cello Performance in 2018. After finishing his undergraduate studies, Tim completed his Master’s of Music in Cello Performance and Suzuki Pedagogy. He enjoys performing and collaborating on a variety of genres from musicals, film, and community outreach.
